We love to hear your experiences on how the wine that you have created with Wine Kitz products has enhanced your life. Here are a few of your stories that you shared with us on Facebook.
"When I decided to try my hand at making wine, I was lead to Wine Kitz via a web search. I drove out to St. Albert and met the best people ever! I came in knowing absolutely nothing about this art and walked out feeling confident in my ventures. The fabulous staff helped me to choose my kit and now there's no looking back. Most recently, I went in saying that I wanted to try a red wine although I w...as not a big red wine drinker and suggested the perfect kit to try. Is there anything they don't know? My parents, who have made other brands of wine kits before, were so impressed that they too became loyal customers.Every kit turns out perfect and crystal clear. It's very hard to keep the wine in stock so I am currently doing two kits at the same time. Country Mist Citrus Sauvignon Blanc was my favorite for the hot summer as it is super versatile. I drank it as is, with frozen berries and for a light treat on a hot afternoon I added a splash of sprite. DELICIOUS is all I can say." - Karen G.
"My wife and I stared making wine a couple years ago mostly as a hobby as I started a business that took most of my time and I needed something to do to relax. I now love making my own wine and taking to dinner parties and hearing what people have to say about my wine. I had a falling out with a friend last year and we have recently started talking again and just finished your first batch of wine from wine kitz together. Making wine with him allowed us to communicate over a mutual interest and get our friendship back on track. We are currently trying to decide what Kota we want to make next. I think wine kitz helped me repair my broken friendship and for that I will always be grateful and will stay a loyal customer. Thank you wine kitz." - Jeffrey C.
"Fall in Love with Wine Kitz you ask? Well why would you not is what i say. I decided i wanted to make wine. So i purchased the equipment needed to start. Hmmm, now what to make first. A friend had asked me to go halfs with her on the wicked hard pink lemonade as she was unsure if she would like it or not, i said sure. But alas it was pre ordered so that fell through. My Husband i...s a courier and he had a delivery to make in Fredericton, NB. He happened to see the Wine Kitz store and remembered me talking about it and how i was upset that at the time we couldn't get the wicked hard pink lemonade in Saint John. So he makes it a point to stop in, they have some kits and he purchases one for me. Yay Me!!. When he brings it home i am excited, my first kit. I read the instructions over and over and over and i am amazed at how easy it all seems. The next morning i grab the instructions and i start the process. Weeks later i am excited and i bottle. Yummy yummy yummy. I am going to bottle my fourth batch or wicked pink this week. I absolutely Love It!! I have been into a few of the other wine stores which are closer to me but the customer service is nothing compared to the warm welcome i always receive at Wine Kitz. We will drive the extra miles for the service we get from Wine Kitz Saint John. So fall in love with wine kitz you ask, my answer, how the heck could you not with there kind and knowledgable staff. If you ask they can and will help you. The wines are simply devine, merlot and chianti and oh so much more. I Love Wine Kitz, simple as that." - Rita T.
"I just completed my first batch of wine at Wine Kitz in Fredericton and the experience was amazing. I am one of those people who knew nothing about wine, I would usually go into the liquor store and pick the prettiest bottle and hope it tasted good. With so many bottles on the shelf I could never remember what I bought last so it often became a guessing game. At Wine Kitz the ...staff were so helpful in explaining the different kinds of wine and helped me pick a kit that matched my taste. Where it was my first time I had no idea what I was doing and once again the staff explained the process, took me on a tour of the facility and provided me with some reading to take home while my wine was processing. After 5 weeks it was time to bottle and I was actually excited about going to our first bottling appointment, once again the staff were great, explaining and teaching my husband and I how to complete the process so we could take our wine home. The process was so slick and well worth the $40.00 processing fee I would not even consider trying to do this at home. I would highly recommend Wine Kitz, they made the entire experience very enjoyable and I will definately be back." - Pam N.
"I just started my home wine making as a hobby, I thank the people at the Barrie Ontario store they have a wealth of knowledge and without hesitation have answered my many questions as a new winemaker I am so happy to have learned of my local wine kitz location. From merchandise to expertise they are the ones I trust..." - Robert K.
"For 55 years wine making has been a part of my life, but it wasn’t until Buzz Arthurs came to Toronto and opened his store, “Wine Art” at 2046 Avenue Rd. that opened up a whole new world of wine making for me. I have hand-written sales slips that date back to 1965. You won’t believe the prices of wine making supplies back in those early days! Arthur’s idea o...f making wine from concentrate caught on and improved greatly over the years. I started to keep a record in 1997 and have made 105 kits since then. The name “Wine Art” changed to “Wine Kitz”, but the excellent product remains the same. My whole family has grown up enjoying my wine, and now one of my grandsons is proudly carrying on the tradition. He has just completed his fourth kit! " - Mike R."We entertain quite a bit and with that we enjoy with our friends and family many verities of wine. It had got to the point were we thought we should attempt to make it ourselves. It gave us something as a couple that we both enjoyed and we could do together. The staff at Wine Kitz made it fun and exciting to make juice to wine! We found that there were no limits t...o increasing our wine library at home with the selection of products that Wine Kitz offered. Our only limitation was when to stop, yeah right, too much fun! With the great journey of wine making I have gotten my friends and family to share in this experience making kits in store and at home. All of our celebrations and occasions include our complex and savoury vintages, that were really simply to achieve.
We found that our new hobby has opened up our mind to many regions of the world which make great wine and has given us destinations and flavours to enjoy." - Robert F.
"Starting out I have to say that I have always LOVED a great glass of wine . I just came back from Penticton B.C. where I was helping the new owner set up for her grand opening . I was so impressed by the whole operation and just reading some of the signs made me want to start some kits right then and there. I certainly have tried many different Wine Kitz wines and haven not had ...one I haven't liked. They are one of the nicest wines I've had, and I have purchased many from liquor stores.....humm...I have to say WINE KITZ are superior....I'm so glad to have been introduced to your product and thats all I will ever have in my home to serve to my guests...thx Wine Kitz ♥♥♥"...looking forward to your holiday collection♥ - Marilyn C.
"A few years ago my friends daughter was getting married. The couple couldn't afford to pay for their own wedding so everyone pitched in in different areas. The Mother of the Bride and I decided to make our own wine, and planned well in advance of the wedding to make sure the wine had time to rest in the bottles before being served. In early winter, we headed out to the store a...nd picked out two wines, a Pinot Grigio and a Merlot, and set about making the wine. Weeks later we returned to bottle the wine and add custom labels to celebrate the occasion. Not only did we have a fun time making and bottling the wine, but Lindsay had an interesting keepsake from her wedding and the guest were each given a bottle to take home. The wines turned out spectacularly and were even better later in the year after the wedding!"
